I was born in Pittsburgh, lived in San Antonio for a while, and attended Amherst College, where I studied English and French and played baseball. 

My poetry has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and my creative endeavors have been supported by the Alpine Fellowship and the Amherst College Center for Community Engagement. I'm working on a collection of poems and my first novel.
